Preserving and creating habitats.

Our current work can be seen in the projects called „Sudewiesen“ and „Drömling“. Here the foundation has large habitats, which are now intact due to limited use as farmland and the regeneration of lost wetland meadows. In this way it has been possible to return several hundred hectares of land to its natural condition. This land is now available as a habitat to the white stork and many other animal species. So that people can share in our success, we provide them with information at the “Storkenkate” (an historic farmhouse on the premises), which is the starting point for field trips into the habitat preserve.
