The “Storkenkate”.

The “Storkenkate” (an historic farmhouse on the premises) works in direct conjunction with our „Sudewiesen“ project. The Storkenkate serves as place from which the project is run, the scientific work is monitored and visitors are welcomed.

In the summer months, the Storkenkate offers things of interest concerning the white stork and the „Sudewiesen“ project. Observation points along bike and hiking paths provide interesting and eventful insights into the Sude meadows with their numerous animal and plant species. Guided tours and excursions into the Sude meadows, past cattle and wild horses, are possible by appointment.
